If you prefer the iPad to stay in place, simply add the included “Fixed Adapter Plate” during installation to prevent the ejection functionality. This works great to help prevent theft or vandalism in public spaces. Removal of iPad® is possible while in Fixed Mode using a special suction grip tool that is provided with each Emonita™ kit.

UNIQUE SLEEK APPEARANCE
These are what I wanted – sleek embedded into wall vs bulkier mount onto the wall. Yes cutting out the bigger hole is a tad disconcerting but the final effect is worth it. They are probably not for everyone- like if you want security locks, etc.
Not sure if the design will allow for adding future features like metal, built-in PoE, some form of security (not sure how- maybe if a metal bezel option had a small metal bar that could lock over each end- but then not as sleek…), if so, or a different but similar model, it might make it more universally popular- but great for what it is, (certainly not the cheapest since it cost as much as my iPad, but nicest one I found for my needs and worth stretching too))

TOOK SOME ADJUSTMENTS BUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
It took a little while to get the fit just right in my wall because it turns out there was some bowing that affected how everything fit. That said they had great customer support who helpled me get this figured out.

AN “OK” SOLUTION
Not the best quality, the mounting brackets broke due to me over-tightening the screws. The material used for the brackets are brittle and are unforgiving if you turn the screw driver just a tiny bit too much. There is no way to charge this system in the wall by code… There is no charger included… Additionally the iPad doesn’t fit flush inside the mounting bracket unless you remove (and cut) the charging mat… Bottom line, I got it to work with frustration and it looks good but it’s not a turn key product.

GOOD BUT FRAGILE
Very fragile unit for price been paid. Plastic frame, instruction should be included to not over torque screens of the brackets. Very nice look after installation, not built to be removed several times for maintenance.
